About
Theology
A Brief Statement on My Theology: “My theology is inspired by my ancestral African American roots and by liberation, postcolonial, and queer theologians.”
Spiritual Development
My Approach and Work in Lifespan Religious Education: “Even during my days as a Holiness Pentecostal minister, I was always in a position that advanced religious formation and education. I taught spirituality and religion to the whole range of life span from children to adults- even to fellow ministers.”
Worship & Rites of Passage
Examples of Sermons, Homilies, and Worship Music Ministry: “Worship is at the core of what I do and where my gifts are very apparent. Shared emotional, spirit-filled worship can heal, can inspire, can bring hope and joy in the midst of suffering and pain.”
Social Justice & Community Engagement
I bring with me vast experience in civic learning and democracy engagement that has become an important component of my ministry. I came to engaging in our communities and in our democracy later than most.
